Fabian I. Ajogwu SAN is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and the Managing Partner of the law firm of Kenna & Associates. He has authored several books and over 42 papers published in professional Journals, Technical Notes registered with the European Case Clearing House, Cranfield. Fabian has extensive experience on foreign direct investments and corporate restructuring, having worked on several projects in real estate, energy and natural resources sectors. He has handled a range of disputes by Litigation and Arbitration. He teaches Business Law at the Lagos Business School, and also a Senior Instructor at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria, where he chairs the Professional Training & Examination Committee.
Fabian is the Founder, and Fellow of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria, a registered non-profit committed to the development of corporate governance best practices and ethics. He has advised the Securities and Exchange Commission on Corporate Governance in Nigerian companies, and assisted in drafting a Code of Corporate Governance for Nigerian companies. He serves on the boards of private and listed companies, and chairs the Board of Leap Africa. He also chairs the Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Committee on Continuing Legal Education.
Fabian attended the University of Nigeria, holds a Masters Degree in Law and an MBA from the IESE Business School Barcelona. He is currently involved with research on corporate governance in parent – subsidiary relations at the School of Law, University of Aberdeen. He has experience spanning 18 years in corporate law and practice as well as civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He is a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
